Washing windows

Every home and business that you pass on your daily walk has windows that someone has to clean every month. In areas that are next to the road, highway or high traffic areas, windows can get to be very dirty. Your job would be to clean as many exterior windows as possible to earn money!

What you need to do is create a flyer or business card that you can hand out to just about every one that you know, and then to those that you are meeting everyday also.  You are only going to want to clean the first floor windows, maybe second floor windows of a house if you have the right tools.

If you live near the town or in a city you can give your flyers to all the businesses that are within walking distance. You will need a few tools to get your business started. Some tools that you will need are a supply of rags or clothes that are good for drying without leaving streaks. A supply of window cleaner is going to be needed. A squeegee that you can wipe off the windows to get the heavy dirt off is good to have. A bucket, a few sponges, and a hose could be needed also. In some circumstances, you could need some type of soap to clean siding if the homeowner or business would like this done.

When you are talking with business owners or homeowners, explain what you do and how you do it. Be sure to explain that you can’t do the higher windows without a hose extension. If you have a helper, you can do this, or if you have an extension on your hose (this is a more expensive tool but if you are expanding your business you can afford it) you can clean the higher windows. You should never be cleaning windows that are any higher and the first floor.

Your parents should always have a schedule of where you are heading to daily in case they need to find you for any reason. You can find the best cleaning solutions in home centers that provide detergents to professional cleaners.
