Work in a ticket booth


All types of events require that people and those attending the events purchase tickets to enter the event. Working in a ticket booth, you can make money without having to give up your entire summer! Working in a ticket booth, you could have a job for a day, a week, or depending on where you are, you could be working all year around.

Where are ticket booth attendant needed? Tickets are sold at all sporting events even at the local community, high school, college and high up sports levels.  Musical events, plays, movies, rock events, and other events require that tickets are sold at the events. 

How can you get this type of job? Inquire with the local building managers for the largest types of events that require tickets to be sold.  Check the local newspapers for openings in all types of events where you can sell tickets. Inquiring with school board members, community event coordinators and with local children’s activities managers you can easily find yourself a ticket booth salesman job. Fairs, flea markets and craft shows often charge to get into their events – which is still another type of ticket booth sales to be filled!

What would you have to do? You will be given a roll of tickets or a stamper. When people pay their money to get into an event you will have to make change based on the number of people entering the event and what the amount of the bill was that they gave to you.  Adding and subtracting quickly comes into play, but often charts are set up for ticket booth salesman to keep the line going fast into the event.

Fill out applications anywhere that events happen during the summer, over the holidays or for events that ‘happen’ all the time and start earning some money!
