Teach roller skating - roller blading

In the park, in large roller rinks and everywhere that children are – roller blading and roller-skating is ‘going on’.  While some adults might not like having their children rolling around town, many parents want their children to learn to skate as a form of fun, entertainment and as a form of exercise.

Your job will be to take the children that don’t know how to roller blade and give them the confidence to try it, to keep going and to exercise their bodies while learning a new hobby. You can teach skating just about any public place that allows roller blading.

You are not going to make a million dollars doing this, but you are going to be making money while doing something that you like at the same time.

You will need to make sure all children wear helmets, knee pads, elbow pads and that their parents sign a release in case their child would fall and get hurt. This is a sport ‘that accidents can happen’ and there is very little if anything you can do to prevent it except for wearing protective gear.

You can set up three, five, or seven week courses, where you will meet a group of students in the park and your lessons will go from a set time to a set time. Parents will be responsible for getting the children there and picking them up.

You can make money daily or weekly depending on how many times a week you meet.

You will need to have a set plan on how you are going to teach the children. How to stand, how to move, how to stop and how to go, these basics should be taught in your classes. Safety in roller blading a must as well. You can advertise anywhere that skates are sold. You can hand flyers where children play and you can tell parents that you meet what your schooling plans are!
