Street performer

There are actually many things that you can ‘do’ out on the street to make money and a few include signing, painting, dancing, play acting, miming, magic tricks, card tricks, drawing, juggling, acrobatics, and even being a clown!  If you are a very confident person in your abilities in any of these acts, you can make money on the street, anytime you have the chance!

Where are you going to perform? You should find a street corner, a busy walk way, a mall setting or if you are permitted, as area in the subway or bus station. Where they are loads of people, which is where you are going to make the most money when performing during the day.

Before you are performing you can say ‘hello’ to every one that passes you, creating at least an acquaintance with those who are passing by you which makes ‘making money’ easier when you at a little more familiar with people passing.  Try to involve those you are entertaining by looking at them, asking someone to help you out if they are standing and watching you, or by giving flowers, small gifts to those who are standing around and watching you every day. If you see small children, gifts given to them will make the parents or adults happy that you are including the small child in your presence on the street.

Be sure to say thank you to anyone that does give you money when you have the chance. If you are in the middle of an act, you don’t have to. You will find that the shorter your act the more money you can make. People on the street are in a hurry to get somewhere and won’t stay longer ten minutes at the most.

Tell everyone that you know about where you are performing, as they may spread the word and bring more of an audience to you! Never ask for money, but keep a tip jar nearby for those who have some spare change to donate.
