Sell collectibles

All types of collectibles are found in your attic, your grandparents attic, at the local thrift stores and in your own bedroom! Collectibles are a way of making money not only for now, but well into the future. Some of your collectible items can be sold off to allow you to purchase other types of collectibles so you can build your ‘stock pile’ of future money.  When you need something, or when you need some money, you can sell off a few of your collectibles and make money!

First you are going to need something that interests you to collect. If could be magazines, papers, letters, pictures, postcards, hats, dresses, clippings, anything really. You can collect old soda bottles, matchbooks or even advertising.

You will need a place where you can store all of your stuff. An extra room in the basement, in the garage, somewhere dry, a place where your goodies won’t be in the way of your parents but still easy for you to get too.

Where are you going to find all of these collectibles? This is going to depend on exactly what you are going to collect, but you can find things at yard sales, thrift stores, in other peoples attics, in the store, at stores, from advertising, and just from word of mouth – you telling others what kind of stuff you are looking to collect. Trade shows and trade markets during the summer months are good places to find collectibles cheap as well.

So how are you going to make money doing all this? What you are going to be doing is saving your stuff until you come across a time when you need money. Then you can sell your collectibles as flea markets, in the newspaper, at the auctions online, or to others who collect that particular item.
