Make and sell pressed flower pictures

Flowers taken from your own gardens, from the wild, or that are given to you from other gardens can be quite useful in making you money. What are you going to do with these flowers? Pressing flowers in a flower press or in a book, allowing them to dry and them putting them in an arrangement in frame is going to be something that you can sell.

Who is going to buy your pressed flower pictures? Anyone who is going to be decorating their room, their home, their locker, their classroom, or their business, that is who is going to buy your pressed flower pictures. You need to pick flowers that will press out nicely while keeping their color after they are dry. Experiment a little in this category and you will find a variety will do the job! you don’t have to use just flowers, you can expand your collections to leaves, and ferns or plants as well.

Using a solid background or variations of backgrounds, and pressing the same flowers in different ‘ways’ you can make displays that will be purchased as a set. For example, you could use ten daisies, three frames, and the same color background to create a display that would be enough for any one wall. The more you sell to one person, the more they are going to want additional pictures to match what they have already bought. You can sell your pictures to businesses that are local to sell for you. You can sell online, you can sell at craft fairs, events, or you can sell door to door or on the street, which ever you are most comfortable with.

Giving a few of your pressed flower displays away to your friends will generate an interest in your work when others see these.  Look for picture frames at yard sales, thrift stores or in bulk to keep your prices low so you can make the most money possible. Using large books, you can press flowers all summer that you can work with over the winter months.
