Organize a competition What you are going to do is require that each contestant pay a small fee. Depending on the contest, the prize, and how many are going to enter, your fee will vary. Say you are going to have a bike race, and the prize is a $20 bike repair donated from the local bike shop. Charging all those who enter just $1, you will make that much money. Prizes that are donated are going to give free advertising to local shops, while you are making cash for those who are participating. The more you have sign up the more money you can make. If you are going to do this every month, you can make lots of cash! You can get judges that are parents, teachers, or others who are not participating in the contest. If you are running the contest, you shouldn’t be judging the contest, so that no one who enters will think that you are cheating them and they will always come back again for the next race or competition just because they like it! You can make flyers and pass them out in school to every one that you think might be interested, you can post the flyers on bulletin boards and you can post flyers where you are getting the prizes donated from. If you are having a hard time getting someone to donate a prize, ask if you can work a few hours to get the item free to use as a prize for the competition for the first race!
