The most popular spots for finding money and lost treasures is where tourists are known to flock to. The beaches, the paths to the beaches, the parks, the amusement park picnic areas, and so on is where you will be working.

One thing to keep in mind when you are going out to invest in purchasing a metal detector is this: the newer the model you purchase the better your odds in finding goodies because of the newest technology that is used in making the newer models.  Think about it like your computer, the newer it is, the better it works, the same is true for the metal detector that you choose.

You might not like some of the things that you find such as nails, older pop cans, barrettes, belt buckets, but some of the things that you find are going to be worth money, and hopefully you will find ‘stuff’ other than just buried coins.

The other thing you will want to take with you on your walk with your metal detector is a backpack or small bag that you keep on your back to keep your goodies and treasures in.
