Golf caddy

Do you live near a golf course? On the other hand, maybe your parents love to golf. You can learn to be a golf caddy and make money any day of the week during the summer. Golf caddies carry clubs around the golf course, run errands and make the golfers day ‘better’ all around. This is where you make your money and you can earn additional tips as well.

How can you get a job like this? Go to the golf course and ask if they only hire caddies or if you can advertise and caddy for anyone that plays on this course. You could be hired right on the course and make money every day. If you are going to advertise and caddy for those you get by advertising your jobs could be a little more spaced out for a while until your ‘name gets around’.

What are some of your responsibilities as a caddy on the course? You will have to give the golfer the club that they want or need, hand balls over when asked for, clean the balls left after playing, clean the clubs, carry the clubs, and you could be asked to rake the course where playing, run errands for drinks and other similar tasks.

Usually you are going to be paid by the game or by the hour, but whichever way you are paid, you are going to be paid in cash by the golfer or by check by the golf course. Tips are generally given if you have done well for the day.

What is going to make you the best caddy so you get all the jobs that you can handle? You need to be nice to the golfer that you are helping, doing what they ask and when they ask, you should be polite to the golfers friends and you should always show up on time. Learning the game and helping the golfer in any, way possible is always a plus as well. Act as if you are having fun even if you aren’t!
