Business research

Are you a good investigator? Do you understand the basic principles of business and what makes a business run? If you find that these types of topics interest you, you can be a business researcher, a business investigator – teaching one business about what their competition is ‘doing’ successfully or how they are getting new business.

This is a service that is not only good for the business that is new, but for the business who needs to build up a client base as well – so that gives you many businesses that you could be working for! In this type of job you will be working and paid by the report- the complete report, be sure to do a great job!

What you are going to offer as your services: you are going to offer to ‘check out’ the prices of all their competitors, how they are getting great prices and how they advertise to their customers, you are going to search the competitors ads to find out exactly how they are reaching customers, possibly who their suppliers are and where they are getting the best materials to resell

While you might have to sell your own services you can offer your business customers this: They are going to be about to beat out their competitions prices, they are going to be able to find out how to reach more clients, they can take over more of their market share, and they are going to be able to keep more of their own clients by offering more or better pricing

What is going to be most important in this business is that you are able to investigate the competition without seeming to be too nosy or too much like a salesman yourself. You are going to be helping one business while possibly hurting another, but it is important to remember that you can’t sell the same information to different businesses, you must investigate the differences in any business you are reporting on to keep your reputation on a great level.
