Pool cleaning

In the warmest areas of the world, this job you can do all year around.  In other areas where the summer season differs from the rest of the year, you can make this pool cleaning service a job that you can really rely on to make some money.  Cleaning swimming pools is a job for older children, young adults, who are more familiar with swimming and working with the chemicals needed sometimes to put in the pool for regular maintenance.

You can find customers by passing out flyers to everyone that you know in your local area that has a pool.  Set your rates according to how long it will take you to clean a pool and how often you have to clean the pool.

Besides the pool, you can trim the grass along side the pool, clean and scrub the deck and clean poolrooms or dressing rooms as needed. If you live in an area where many people have pools, you could build up your customer list year after year and have a good income that you can do anytime.

Most all pool owners are going to have their own equipment but taking along a skimmer to get out leaves and floaters will appear professional. Do not forget to leave the customer a note if they are low on any chemicals that are needed in the pool.  You should also have a bucket, sponges, and brushes for any deck cleaning that you do. You most likely will need a broom and a mop for cleaning out dressing rooms as well.

Use what you know about cleaning pools, inquire with local pool salesman about how to clean pools, and ask your customer if they have any special needs in cleaning the pool.   It is important that if you are changing filters or cleaning the filters on a pool that you follow the instructions for that type of filter, ask someone if it is the first time so you can be sure you are doing it correctly.
