Seasonal chores

There are many tasks and chores that a young person, of various ages, can do in the neighborhood while making money at the same time.

What you need to do is think about the season, what you can do and take it from there! Ask around, have your parents call their friends, send out flyers, hang flyers in stores and put ads in the free sections of the newspaper. If your community has a space online where you can advertise free – use it! Building up a listing of clients over each season is actually quite easy.

Spring – help spring-clean houses, sweeping, mopping, hauling, racking, and helping clean out the pool. There are actually many things that you can do in the spring to make money, like pulling weeds, trimming trees, even washing windows, you need to find a task that you like to do the most.

Summer – this is the season where everyone is on the go. Depending on where you live, you can scoop poop out of yards, you can mow the grass, you can rake the grass. Sometimes painting of houses, garages, fences and pulling weeds will be needed which is where you come in and make money! Babysitting, cleaning pools, and sweeping sidewalks are tasks that others will want you to do, just pick your favorites!

Fall – the season of leaves no matter where you live! Raking leaves, pulling weeds, picking up trash, painting is still another task that needs to be done on many houses, walking dogs, washing windows, washing cars, babysitting and more – these are all things that you can do during the fall months.

Winter – this is the coldest season of them all. During the winter, the dogs still need walked and exercised, the snow needs shoveled and the cars need cleaned off. The sidewalks need salted, and groceries need brought in the house. You can make money helping others during this cold season!
